Public transportation sure has its perks
So.. apparently I’m really sucky at updating this. And I’d really like to attribute that to “life,” but unfortunately, I still don’t have one. Some things will never change.
No, actually, I’ve been interning in this place and it’s kind of awesome and horrible at the same time. Kind of like if you met Johnny Depp and he decided to sign an autograph for you… with your own blood.
But anyway, interning every day means I have to wake up at school hours and get home at 6:30 to 7, and I take the train every day. This has both pros and cons. Pros, I get to see some very interesting type of people; cons, everything else.
I saw a middle-aged guy yesterday that looked kind of like a toned-down version of a 1970s hippie. Long, stringy hair; those glasses that make people look like they’d just crapped themselves; etc. And then I noticed..
A motherfucking Pokewalker! Clipped to his pants! I wanted to high-five him like they always do in those MLIA stories but 1) I don’t trust strangers and 2) he might have called the cops on me because I don’t think I seem very warm and friendly.
And another time, I walked into my building and was headed for the elevators when I noticed a woman sitting on a couch in the lobby playing a Nintendo DS. So I kind of did the ninja-squint head-tilt thing and tried to see the name of the game she was playing and it was freakin Pokemon SoulSilver, ya’ll. My faith in America is slightly restored.
But I don’t like the train very much now because I got kicked off it on the way to the university a couple weeks ago and it’s an extremely embarrassing story so I’d rather not disclose. Heh.
And I’ll leave you with this video:
I LOVE POKEMON.

that is so cute hahaha :] (the video, and the pokemon-anywhere-at-any-time thing?) XD
